MiMedx Holds First Physician Advisory Board Meeting in San Diego
San Diego, Cal. — February 16, 2007 — MiMedx Inc. (MDX), an R&D company specializing in connective tissue technology, held its first Physician Advisory Board (PAB) meeting in San Diego today. Among those attending was Dr. Jimmy Andrews, Chairman of the Physician Advisory Board and leading orthopedic Surgeon.
Members of MiMedx’s PAB are physicians who consistently push medicine forward and develop new solutions to treat injury and diseases, and many of whom are chairman of their respective departments at university medical schools, teaching institutions and fellowship programs. A PAB is currently being assembled around the first intended uses, orthopedics sports medicine.
The Company is also forming a separate PAB for upper-extremity and plastic surgery indications. Thomas Graham, MD, Chairman of the National Hand Center located in Baltimore, MD, has agreed to chair this committee. Dr. Graham is the team physician for the Georgetown Hoyas, the Toronto Blue Jays, the Washington Nationals, and the Philadelphia Fliers. The National Hand Center is the largest practice specializing in hand surgery in the United States. Additionally, the Center has been designated by The United States Congress as the National Center for the Treatment of the Hand and Upper Extremity.

Doctor James R. Andrews, orthopedic surgeon, is one of the founding members of the Alabama Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center (ASMOC) and the American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI) in Birmingham, Alabama, located at St. Vincent’s Hospital. He serves as Chairman and Medical Director of ASMI. Doctor Andrews is also a founding partner and Medical Director of the Andrews Institute located in Gulf Breeze, Florida.
