Collafix Applications
Multiple applications of this technology are in development at present, with the first embodiment expected in be completed with a U.S. 510(k) application filed in the first quarter 2010. A series of applications based upon the CollaFix® proprietary collagen fiber technologies are expected over the next 18 months in various configurations and indications for use.
Among the products in the development pipeline are the following anticipated products and CollaFix® Tissue Patch, CollaFix® Tendon Wrap and CollaFix® Tendon Augment. Once the Company has demonstrated strong performance in these mutual product lines, it intends to expand its development and clinical efforts to utilize this technology in various ligament repairs as well. These applications require a more lengthy development and regulatory pathway and are in our medium and long-term plans.
Future application also could include product configurations that absorb and deliver stem cells, antibiotics or other drugs.
